If you have a spare PCI2e slot can I install a quadro 5600 fx at a later date

I have just ordered a new Mac Pro with the 8800gt card inside. This gives 4 megapixels, but I suspect in future I may need to run a 5 megapixel display, just cant afford the quadro 5600 at the moment. Does anyone know if I can just purchase the 5600 or any other card that runs more than 2560 x 1600 and plug it into a spare slot?
Does anyone know of any higher res cards that are mac compatible?
 
No.Definitive list of card combinations for Mac Pro:

1-4 HD 2600s
1-2 8800 GT
1 8800 GT, 1-2 HD 2600
1 Quadro 5600
1 Quadro 5600, 1 HD 2600

Anything else puts the power over the limit or can't be done due to lack of external power connectors.
