Startup "Dong" sound dosen't work anymore.

My MacBook Pro doesn't play the startup "Dong" sound when I first startup the machine. Anyone know how I can enable it again? I've had the machine for a couple of months now and it was working fine. Thanks for the help.

well, i know it dosent play it if the volume is muted...not sure other than that

Nope, the volume isn't muted.

Do your speakers work otherwise? Any weird errors in system.log on boot up?
