iPod Levelling out volume

Is there someone out there who can advise me on the next "problem"?

I own a 5th Genaration iPod Video 60Gb. And there is a lot of Music on it. When I want to make a Playlist (for party's) 😀 I find that the volume levels of the differrent tracks are variable. Is there any way that i can straight out the volume levels (in once if possible) 😕

Settings>Sound Check>On

oh yeah, thanks for that. I have noticed and wanted to change that and kept forgetting to figure out [or ask] how.
