.MOV playback in Windows

Hello,

I exported an imovie 08 project as a .MOV and would like to play the movie on Windows XP. However, Quicktime (installed in Windows) says that I need to install additional codecs, but every one I have tried has failed. Does anyone know of a thread where this issue is addressed? If not, are there any suggestions to resolve the problem?

Open the file in the QuickTime Player on a Mac to see which codec it uses.

Also when you export using iMovie, see what Codec you are using. Try exporting using H.264. Perhaps your default is something that is non-standard like Divx.

I changed the settings in iMovie to export the project in MPEG codec, and it worked! Thanks for all your help!
