I changed the batteries 3 days ago, and it's at 78%

Why?

I should also point out, this is the 3rd time I've had to change my batteries since buying the mouse (Mid November).
 
That is odd, I've had my MM for over two months and I have yet to recharge it. Do you turn it off at all? I don't know...the batteries could be faulty?
 
Really? I've had mine twice as long, frequently forget to turn it off, and haven't changed the coppers yet. My BT keyboard ran for almost 6 months before needing a change.

Every day usage for both, too.

Mental note: go downstairs and turn them off now.
