I'm having lots of trouble with my iBook managing memory. After a 3 days of being on it will start bog down and lag at every click of the mouse with only Adium, Firefox, and Mail open. I know exactly why (It's because my hard drive is full and my virtual mem is humongous). By restarting, the memory gets dumped and hard drive space is freed up and then my iBook is as fast as when I got it. I was wondering if there is such a program to handle my memory better instead of holding onto a bunch of crap I'm not using and not letting go until I restart.

Thanks

I'm only really here at night.
The only "program" that would work better is:

A) you delete some stuff off the HD & leave plenty of room for the VM, or

B) get a bigger/additional HD, transfer some stuff, and sab :p

Simply put........you need to "get with the program"

Memory mgmt is a core function of OS X, and is light years ahead of what it used to be, but it can't do it's job properly if you dont give it what it needs........s*P*a*C*e.......
