Microsoft to get Yahoo?

I want everyones opinion on this; as everyone might have heard, Microsoft offered $44.6B to Yahoo in order to try to surpass Google in search. Do you think this will be a good investment for them? I'm not sure about the whole thing because this could effect Microsoft dramatically and the world's most used software.

Yahoo rejected Microsoft's offer. Although the shareholders have the power to accept the deal (this is what's wrong with stocks) I doubt it'll happen.

I feel that if Microsoft happened to buy out Yahoo they would just ruin it like they do almost everything else. Even so, by picking up Yahoo they still wouldn't have near the market share that Google has with search. It would be akin to buying Creative to up their market share of mp3 players. They'd still be massively behind Apple.
