Can I use both a NVidea 8800 GT and a ATI 2600 XT in a Mac Pro?

I have one of the new Mac Pro's which has a ATI 2600 XT video card and for adding a 2nd video card I'm interested in knowing if I can add a NVidea 8800GT. I will be eventually running 3 monitors off of this computer. Would this setup work?
