How much HDD space does mac os x take up?
buying a macbook for uni...will need to install windows xp/vista but probably xp also....need to know which to buy, 120gb or 160gb....my itunes is 8.5gb strong

Well it really depends on how big you want your Windows partitions to be. I gave only 16GB to XP. You could get by with less, depending what you need to do with Windows.

Take the cheapest route now (120gb) and buy a bigger hard drive later, the installation on a macbook is so easy you could probably do it blind folded.

You can get a 320GB hard drive for $150 right now.... the longer you wait, the better.

thanks. out of topic, is it harder to installl HDD on a macbook pro?
i think i will proceed in buying one with 160gb HDD

Yes, it's much easier to install HDD, RAM, etc., on a regular MacBook than a MacBook Pro. I'm not sure how much harder it is on a MacBook Pro, but your life would be easier as far as hardware installation goes if it's a MacBook.
