I love my mini, but knocking around the idea of selling the whole setup to get a 20" imac. I have a 1.66ghz core duo mini, superdrive, 2gb ram, still has applecare til May 29, 09. Have original box and everything that came in it. Came with Tiger installed but I also have a retail copy of Leopard to go along with this.

I have a 19" Samsung 960BF monitor. It has a white bezel that matches nicely. I think I still have the orginal box for this, but not 100% sure. Would have to check the garage. Review here: http://reviews.cnet.com/lcd-monitors/samsung-syncmaster-960bf-white/4505-3174_7-31578611.html

I bought a Macessity Stack On Mi to go underneath the mini. It gives you 4 USB in the front. This is what that looks like, and how it looks stacked.

Also comes with the old style mac keyboard and a Macally wired mouse if you were to want that.

I have a monitor rack that the mini sits under perfectly. Thats yours to. Here is a picture of the set up a while ago, when my desk was actually clean :)

Im just curious what I could get out of this set up. Will not separate because all the $ I would get would go towards the imac.

edited for typos and dumb mistakes :)

I'd like to think you could fetch at least $650 for that setup as a bundle. Could probably squeak out a few more bucks parting it out. Many people in the market for a mini have their own monitors.

maybe around $550

$400-$450 for the mini, <$100 for the monitor (older, not widescreen, slow response time), the keyboard/mouse/usb hub are of neglible value.

personally, i think you should part it because including the extras will limit your buyers (i.e., someone who wants a mini but doesn't want your monitor won't buy from you).

$400-$450 for the mini

That's a little too low, in my opinion.

OP, you will definitely get the most money either on Craigslist or FeeBay.

I realize that ppl always think their stuff is worth more than it is, but IMO this entire set up is worth at least $750. This screen shot was taken today, 2-26. The same mini, with only 512ram, is going for $649.

edit - ok, this doesnt make sense. The same mini with the 1.83ghz processor is going for $479?

That has to be a misprint with the pricing because the model 2 spots above yours has identical specs and is 479.

since refurbs are at 479, i can offer you $400 for yours. let me know.

Obviously you didnt read my edit. I think the 1.83ghz model is priced wrong as the core SOLO is also priced at $479

since refurbs are at 479, i can offer you $400 for yours. let me know.

Think Ill take a pass.

the same mini with a Core 2 Duo 1.83 is going for $499.

you might think you're setup is worth $750 but i doubt you'll find a buyer.

The 1.83 pops up at the price regularly. I think that, because the refurb pricing is based on original price not age, that sometimes there are some odd discrepancies among the models.

Lock and delete the whole thread please. Id rather keep it than be insulted by the offers here.

these people shouldn't be doing this in the first place (EDIT: not the offers but pointing out refurbs etc), see the marketplace stickies:

Also, those who feel the need to offer price advice such as "oh, that's way too high" or "you can get that on [link] much cheaper" are still unnecessary. Yes, it's great to watch out for people, but people are not forced to buy and they should make up their own minds. If you really feel someone is getting into danger buying something, you should leave a Private Message.

also, just wait a couple days for the refurbs to sell out. these deals may not be around in a while, and the next ones may appear sporadically.

You opened yourself up by making it a feeler.

Feelers. Adding the word "Feeler" to the thread title invites others to comment on your proposal and critique your offer or price (see Buyer/Trader Rule: Exceptions below).

You may post comments about prices or comparable offers elsewhere for threads named "Feeler" or for which the thread-starter has explicitly solicited advice.

Do you folks think Apple knows what price point these machines should be at? This is the 2nd time Ive seen the exact model (core duo, 1.66gb, 512mb, superdrive) priced at $649. While it seems odd that the 1.83ghz one is less, as I said, this is the 2nd time Ive seen this so it highly unlikely its a misprint. Its is possible the 1.83ghz model was mis-priced considering the core solo unit was the same price.

My mini would carry 4 more months of Applecare + has 2gb of ram. So how if Apple is charging $649 for just the computer, the monitor and all would only be worth $450?

Thats why I said just lock the thread. I dont need the imac that bad. If I could sell this whole setup for even $700 I would, but not $450.

There are people on eBay selling 1.83GHz and 2.0GHz C2D for $450.

Apple drops the price according to what it originally sold for. Right now they're selling the 20" inch Aluminum iMac for $100 cheaper than the old white iMac. Your mini is worth ~$400 or so, given that a refurb with better specs sells for $499. If you want more try Ebay.

the $479 1.83 isn't a typo - I bought one today. I think you'll have better luck selling on ebay or anywhere other than an apple forum. People here are aware of deals like those on the 1.83 so if you're looking to get anything close to $650, this site probably isn't your best bet.

Good luck with the sale.
