I have a powermac G4 running 10.4.11 and i want to do a clean install before i give the computer away. I cant seem to find any of my discs except my tiger upgrade disc. Is it possible to do a clean install of tiger with only that disc? And how would i go about doing that. Thanks for your help guys.

Define "Tiger Upgrade Disc"

Do you mean a disc that you bought at Retail? If so, that isn't an upgrade; it's the full version of Tiger.

If you mean the disc that you got with your computer, it should work, too.

Essentially, insert the disc and follow the on-screen instructions for an erase and install. You will lose all of your data!

i bought the disc for $99 at microcenter a year and a half ago. I was under the impression that it was an upgrade, not a full version. I already have all my data backed up as I now have a macbook, I just want to make sure that all of my data that I have deleted can not be recovered of the hard drive. Thanks again.
