Right fan going nuts on MBP....normal?

I have a 15" SR MBP 2.4 Ghz. 4gigs RAM. Just received it back from servicing after the bottom case warped around the optical drive. I've noticed that ever since then the right fan intermittently (but quite frequently) goes extremely fast at around 6000 RPM, but the left fan never comes on at all. iStat pro shows that my temps are all less than 60 degrees. The MBP still works great, but I'm getting tired of hearing the wind tunnel. Its going on right now just with Safari running and nothing else; of course it goes full blast with a game or any other video intense app.

I've enclosed a snapshot of what iStat is reporting.

Is this normal? A problem with the repair?

If I were you I would schedule an appointment with the Genius Bar. :(

You're laptop is not working properly. The fans of the MBP have a minimum rpm when on (mine was 1600 rpm if i remember correctly). Schedule an appointment with a Mac Genius ASAP and good luck with the repairs. And I have yet to see a properly functioning MBP where the fans weren't spinning within 20 rpm of each other. As far as I know, they always speed up and slow down together in sync.

Run your hardware diagnostic CD and see if your MBP is alright.
