Although I love the concept albums that came after Dark Side the most, there is nothing like some good old "see emily play" or "interstellar overdrive" to put the band's evolution of style into perspective.

In the same spirit, I submitted a recommendation for Syd Barrett's 'Opel.' I don't love all his solo work by any means, but that particular album really touched me.
