I am making a slide show of videos and pictures. And this came up when I tried to import some music for the movie.

The file C:\Users\Owner\Desktop\Slide Show Music\Slide Show Song.m4p cannot be imported because the codec required to play the file is not installed on your computer. If you have already tried to download and install the codec, close and restart Windows Movie Maker, and then try to import the file again.

What the heck is a codec, and what should I do. Does anyone have this problem or can some one tell me a solution?

I think it's looking for Quicktime. Go to www.apple.com/quicktime and download it.

You can't use an m4p. That's a drm'd itunes file.

Is there a way to convert them?
