A friend of mine said he'd figured out the song. Particle man = science; Triangle man = organized Western religion, Person man = the man on the street and Universe man = the indifferent force of the universe at large.
Made sense to me. Still a good song regardless. Just wish Warners would release the Tiny Toons video they made of the song.

I disagree with that article totally. They Might Be Giants album Flood (where the feature song is from) is one of my favorite albums. I like quirky songs. Most of TMBG songs are very memorable and catchy.
I also think they did a much better rendition of Istanbul than the original.

I like TMBG's song they did for homestarrunner.com, experimental film. That was a wonderful mix and should be executed more often. Particle Man is just okay in my eyes. :)

Without TMBG, there wouldn't be humor like this. Thanks, TMBG, for embracing all that is quirky for the betterment of society!

I like a handful of Giants songs, but I've grown disinterested in them over time. In fact, I just checked my iTunes, and the only song by the Giants in there that I've listened to more than once is Ana Ng, which is actually one of their more serious songs, and there are only a handful I've listened to more than once....
I saw them in concert, though, once, and it was actually a lot of fun. That was about when John Henry came out.

Can't hear the song(s, Istanbul too) without thinking of that TT ep. For those who talk about how bad P2P is, it's also perfect for stuff like this. I might just watch them again right now. :D
