iPod 2nd Gen iShuffle won't connect after latest iTunes update

I just updated to the latest and greatest iTunes and now the shuffle doesn't get recognized by my mac!!!! what the hell. It still works with the music I had in it but i won't be seen by iTunes!!!!😱 😡

Please anyone HELLLLPPPPP!!!!!!😕
