I'm running OS X 10.4.11 and now when the Software Update check for available updates alerts me with new updates to install, when I click the Install button, it goes grey but nothing happens. I've tried downloading the updates manually and installing them. I go through the various steps and when I click Install, nothing happens again. I've also tried running Software Update from the command line. Here is the error I get:

# softwareupdate -i SecUpd2008-001PPC-1.0

Any ideas on what I can do to fix this problem?

Me too

I have had this problem since April 2008 and thought I would give it another try.

Has anybody un-covered a solution as yet?
