Hi, I've just received my first Mac, a 12" PB with a large disk and a SuperDrive. What kind of noise level should I expect from this thing? The SuperDrive gives some awful clickety-click noises when inserting/ejecting a disc and the HDD gives off some small clicks when running. So what should I expect? :)

Thanks.

Not that loud!

Enjoy your Powerbook! I just bought mine on Friday.

Yes, the Superdrive is a little noisy and makes clunking noises but not enough to make me worry. Granted I have the 40 GB HDD, but is seems to be fairly quite. I have only had the fan come on once and that was while playing UT 2003.

Other than that, it is much quieter than my old NEC 650 MHz PIII.
