On Tiger, if the computer got woken from sleep (by mistake for example - knocking the mouse), then it would wait for you to login but if you didn't do so in a reasonable time it went back into sleep mode again.

In leopard, this doesn't happen? Anyone know why not? If it gets woken from sleep then it sits at the login screen. The display will power off but not the system?

Can anyone help?

Mine goes back to sleep... Can you check the console for any error message which preventing your Mac from going back to sleep?

You might want to try running Keychain Access and then use "Repair Keychain" to see if that resolves any issues. Also, make sure you've got the latest updates installed.
