My Physics professor at U of R still uses an Apple II for a bunch of tabulation and other stuff during demonstrations. It runs beautifully from what I could tell.

I'm surprised at how may people I hear talking about still using Apple ][s.

Heh. I have been using a Mac Classic to type essays as of late, simply because ink is inexpensive for my StyleWriter.

I've got a Mac Plus as well, which I boot up from time to time. I think its CRT is going, because it'll blink off and I have to tap the side to get it to turn back on. Too bad. :(

Y'know, the Classic has a scsi port, so you could add on a scsi CD-rom player for a dollar or two from a thrift store, then you could write on your OS X machine, burn a CD-RW, and transfer the text document over to the Classic for printing!

But I guess there's little reason to not just type it directly on your old Classic. Oh well, it could be fun as a project anyway.

heh - yeah, I still have a working Plus (with external SCSI 20mb HD). It's amazing how well these machines have lasted...

Very cool idea! I guess I could do that, since my PowerMac G4 is sitting right near it... But then again, just using that old machine provides highly entertaining.
