MacBook Air Clicking and Beeping video

Turn up your volume. "Click" sound occurs at 0:00:04 - 0:00:06
The beep noise happened 2 times so I took it in and exchange one.

when it was about to go into sleep mode.. but it didnt last that long

I have heard this beep sound two or three times... I ignored it because i couldn't isolate where the sound was coming from, or what machine it was coming from for that matter.

Wonder what it is?

the replacement even got more clicking =( tho its not as loud as the previous one (no beeping yet). the clicking is really random. The first time i used it clicks like every 10 sec. Now I've been using for 2hrs after restart n cant heard a thing :confused: some said every 1.8"HDD Clicks n its normal, just some r loud & some r close the silent.

Clicking could be normal, hard to tell in that short vid. The beeping on the other hand..... Not something right if it happened randomly while using it. Hope your new one turns out better!

I know its a different beast but my 80gb iPod clicked like a motherbitch, never konked out on me though, so I think your theory on the 1.8 drives is right.

Hi guys

I have a 1.6 MBA and this is happening to me too.

It just happened so I did a quick Google and came across this link.

My MBA does click, but it sounds 'normal' like an iPod hard disk clicking away quietly.

HOWEVER I am getting some 'beeps' at random intervals as well. I've had this machine for about a week and it has happened about 3 times in the entire time I've had it, unpredictably.

I'll live with it until it has to go in for repairs...
