Right Click on Desktop

Hi I was wondering if anyone could help with the right clicking on the desktop. Everytoom i do the multi color circle pops up and stays there for about 30 seconds to a minute and then finally a list of options appear.. i was wondering if there was a way to resolve this issue.

Do you have lots of things on your desktop? That's the only thing I can think of.

hmm well not really but ill give it a try later on today. im on a pc at work right now. but if anyone can think of anything else im all ears

yahhh that didnt work...can anyone else help?

It just have a fresh Leopard Install (erased disk) in my MacBook and it's pretty fast, no delay at all.
