MBP Restarts When Battery Runs Out

Hello to all,

usually when my MBP runs out of battery, I can plug it in and resume everything.

This time, the machine had only been dead for about 2 minutes, and when i plugged power back in, I had to turn it on via the Power Button, and the Apple logo EFI screen popped up.

Way to fix? Or can someone explain what happened?

Hm...

Usually what happens is you get a message saying it's about to put it to sleep so you don't lose everything... Did you ignore a message or something and just let it kill the battery?

yes, but usually it doesnt matter.

it's never full-on rebooted before.
