I agree that makes absolutely no sense. Probably a lot cheaper to buy a 320GB WD Scorpio and install it yourself in 5 minutes anyway :).

Heh I was getting ready with the "Well you should have listened to rumors" and "Everyone told you to wait, your fault for buying one"
But yea, 300GB would have been nice :p

lol, i was going to add something about the HD to the title but it got kinda long
"well thats not fair why only 300gb on 17"?"
figured "well that not fair..." is a little more forum friendly
but i really dont understand why there is no 320gb option at all...they could even charge one of their outrageous upgrade prices...im sure someone would pay an additional $300 for 320gb

300GB @ 4200 RPM.....
Not sure why anyone would be choosing that BTO.

I don't get the only 300GB@4200 option at all... and still no user replaceable HDs in the MBP...?!? Come on, Apple...that's just frelled up.
I have a WD 320GB@5400 in my (soon) 2 year MacBook, and - at the moment I wouldn't do an even trade with that for any of the new MBPs...
I'm glad I'm not getting a new MacBook (regular|Air|Pro) until next year. :)
