MB and Apple Care on studentdicount, it is tranferable ?

hi,

i bought MB with student discount together with apple care and it says on the website that the apple care will be linked to my MB before shipping so if i decide to sell it at some point will the buyer be able to take advenatage of apple care or is it only for me ??
