do you lose all ur music? my ipod is jailbroken but i figure to upgrade 2 1.1.4 soon so i was curious if it actually deleted all my music or not cuz i delete all the songs off itunes after i get em.

If you do an update (as opposed to Restore) your music will be preserved. Restore erases everything. Even if you needed to restore (jailbroken/unlocked phones sometimes require) you can always resync from iTunes.
