MBP keyboard?

Hey,

I saw a post the other day saying that the keys on the mbp are not that great because if your hand oils get onto it the keys fade. Is this true?

No its not true. Then again in 5 years after extended use, yes the keys may fade a bit.

thats a new one to me.

my powerbook G4 (the predecessor to the MBP) has never had issues with the keys, and i'm pretty sure they're the same material as before.

after owning one for several months, the keys off my macbook pro never faded, and i've never seen the keys off any macbook pro fade. you might want to check out the laptops they have on the apple store display for a good indication of long-term wear.

I'm sure the wear and tear is the same for any laptop. Just look at the Blackbooks on how they get shiny after extended use.
