Package Download Failed!

I have iphone 1.1.2 When I try to install any application, an error message shows: Package download failed! (I doesn't have the..."can't find host" message - just the one described). I'm new to iphone, so any help will be greatly appreciated!

I'm in singapore and was trying to install a patch from iclarified... the iPhone just would not download it. What should be done? kinda lost.
