My Ipod nano is frozen..PLEASE help.

My new generation Nano is frozen...I turned it on this morning and it's at a frozen screen. It won't turn off. When I plug it in my mac nothing happens.

What do I do? I'm so confused.

reset your ipod press and hold menu + centre buttons for about 10 seconds. If that doesn't work try it again but connected to power
