From what i've read ziPhone is not yet coded to work with 1.1.4. If you visit the ziPhone site (http://www.ziphone.org/), the makers are warning people who have updated to 1.1.4 to wait 2-3 until they can test and release a version of ziPhone which works successfully, an without any flaws, with 1.1.4

it also says if you have a contract you should be fine.....but either way I'm just restoring which will put 1.1.2 on it again then i'll do it again :P when I do ziphone do I need to hit activate iphone?

update to 1.1.4 and then connect to itunes and it will activate your handset!

then run ziPhone.

you do have a valid contract don't you?

yea...I redid it EXACT same way now it works....maybe I just didn't have a signal and got worried for nothing......
