Really bad airport drops

Today, and pretty much only today, every 3 minutes my airport connection keeps dropping or timing out, i have changed the channels, reset the base station. and it keeps cutting out to the point that i can not even use my computer. I was experienceing hte previously reported intermittent drop outs but nothing like this. anyone else having this issue?
 
oh yes. I am experiencing this as well for my new mbp. it's very frustrating. Yes, the new mbp is really awesome to use but the airport drops is giving me so much annoyance. I didn't have that happening last night though. So what could have been the cause?
