Installing 10.5 OSX from new MBP over onto old IMac

Are there any technical/legal issues with installing the 10.5 OSX I got on my new MBP on my existing older IMac?

This has been talked to death already. System Restore discs are specific to the model that they ship with. You cannot use the disc that ships with one model Mac to install the OS on a different model Mac.
 
it is illegal and even if you choose to ignore the conditions the install will probably not work on the older iMac as the first install disc is specific to the MacBook Pros hardware.

If your older iMac is PPC then it definitely wont work.
