Joko macrumors 6502 Original poster Feb 28, 2008 #1 Hi I wonder if you can advise. I am trying to decide between these 2 models as I can get them at the same price. The SR model is 2 months old though but is in perfect condition vs new penryn model? What would you buy if given the choice?

Is more screen real estate important to you or portability ?

You are the only one who can determine that based on your needs, Id just figure out whether you want a 15" model or a 17" and go with that.

Click to expand... After discussing with friends and guys at apple, the 17'' hi res santa rosa is favored unanimously over the new penryn model. Most couldn't believe I was actually considering a 15'' over a 17'' hi res so 17'' it is!
