17'' SR MBP Hi-Res 7200HD vs 15'' Midline Penryn MBP?

Hi I wonder if you can advise.

I am trying to decide between these 2 models as I can get them at the same price.

The SR model is 2 months old though but is in perfect condition vs new penryn model?

What would you buy if given the choice?

Unfortunately I can't wait that long, I need it immediately for work.

well can you be specific what exactly you will be doing? Is more screen real estate important to you or portability ?

I will be using all the iLife apps + Logic and will be portable maybe once every 3 months or so.

You are the only one who can determine that based on your needs, Id just figure out whether you want a 15" model or a 17" and go with that.

After discussing with friends and guys at apple, the 17'' hi res santa rosa is favored unanimously over the new penryn model. Most couldn't believe I was actually considering a 15'' over a 17'' hi res so 17'' it is!
