Like many others, I've been having annoying wireless dropouts with 10.5.2. I have AEBS for the wireless and literally watch the transmit rate drop to 0 every 15 mins or so causing a couple of minutes being offline.

I have been using a Lacie MiniHub 500gb external drive connected directly by firewire to the iMac for my Time Machine backups. The Lacie drive was purchased previously for use with a Mac mini.

The Lacie drive is fine but has a very annoying fan (drives you mad after a while). I did have the Lacie drive sat directly under the AEBS. I couldn't stand the fan anymore, so I decided to move it off the desktop and put under the table but on top of a "tray" to let some air circulate underneath to see if it helped the fan.

The fan has stopped going so crazy now but strangely the wireless has not dropped once since the Lacie has been moved - the transmit rate is rock solid.

Any ideas on the wireless "solution"?
