I use macs not just cos they are nice, but mostly because i want a computer that works all the time. I hate it when i have problems. And lately i can't do any work on my machine because photoshop and safari freeze, and slow down the entire machine. I have cleaned out everything, and each of these things have crashed a total of 6 times today alone.

i'm convinced my only solution is to reinstall everything.

sorry my rant for the week.

Can you tell us what operating system and versions of photoshop you are running. It might help. If photoshop isn't cs3 you may not be running it natively which could be the source of the crash. As for safari I use firefox instead. I don't have nearly as many issues with firefox.

its the absolute latest everything. cs3 10.5.2, 2.33 mbp 4 gb ram... 50 gigs of free disk space.. running even one or two apps at a tiem.

Okay, thanks for added info. What about CS3 updates? I have the same system, and have similar issues with Safari on occasion, but still use it over Firefox. Good luck, and I hope you get resolution.

Here is a link to Adobe PDF about CS3 and Leopard.

And here is a link to get the updates.

I had the same thing using Onyx. Then I trashed all my caches in the library(s), used cocktail, and everything is running smoothly.

system or user? the whole folder, is it safe to delete that? so you think onyx is doing this?
