Mail image attachments - shrink?!

I'm using 10.5.2 and whenever I try to attach an image to an email (using Mail) the image comes in smaller. It doesn't matter if I drag it in, or "attach" with the button. I've checked the 72 dpi in Photoshop. When I drag the image back out of the email, and open, it is infact less pixels than the original.

what gives?

Check before sending the email how big you have the email set for the attached image, check the pop up menu on the lower right corner of your email window.

Thanks for the reply.

I do not see this drop down menu you have screen-capp't. The bottom on my email windows has no bar at all.

OK!!! Got it.

Boy do I feel like an idiot.

It seems that this options bar that appears at the bottom of you email only appears after you add an image.

Problem solved. Thanks again!!
