Nice song. But I like the Swedish "translation" by Peps Blodsband, "Styr den opp", better than the original... ;)
I'm sorry, but I just cannot translate the Swedish title back to English...let's just sayPeps took Bob Marley's original intention one step further... :D

He died a long time ago.
Bob Marley and the Wailers have a ton of famous hits--- like Lacero mentioned as well as, "Buffalo Soldier," "No Woman No Cry," "Is This Love," "Get Up, Stand Up," "I Shot the Sheriff," and "Redemption Song."

Duuuuuude, you can't be serious?!! All those iTunes and no Marley? ...AND you live in Florida? ;) PLEASE check out his greatest hits album Legend. I'm sure you have a friend who has it. Great man, great music...from an unbelievably difficult background.

No. I wasn't serious at all! Usually those Songs of the Day are by people I'm not very familiar with. It was nice to see someone who I really like.
I really need to remember that my level of sarcasm doesn't convert well to Macrumors posts. :)

LOL! Well, my level of sarcasm never makes the threads. I think that's why most people use the Smilies, so others will 'get it' or not be offended.
I've always wanted to start a "What you really wanted to say" thread. Inherently, there's some great remark that pops into my head when I go over the thread titles, but I never say it.

Does anyone know who did "stir it up" in 1960s?

Does anyone know who did "stir it up" in 1960s?I've just heard Bob Marley's version from the Ledgend compilation (as well as Peps Blodsband's excellent Swedish "adaptation" Styr Den Opp). But after looking the song up on Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stir_It_Up), you may think of Johnny Nash' 1972 hit with the song...?
