Can you zoom in with the Apple TV?

I have looked around in settings and tried everything I could think of, but I can't seem do this. Does the TV have a "zoom in" feature like most dvd players do? It would be great to zoom in and get rid of the black bars at the top and bottom of the picture.

Any help?

I'm afraid you'll have to rely on your TV's settings to accomplish this. Apple TV cannot zoom in the way a DVD player can.

An app that does this.

Maybe this app is a solution, it enables zooming of your images/photos on an AppleTV (or other external screen), it also loads your images in full resolution.
