So I just recently upgraded from powerpc to intel mac and i transferred over all my applications.

Is there a quick way to find out which of those applications were powerpc only so I can upgrade them? I just realized today that my VLC was still powerpc and I redownloaded the intel version.

Fire up Activity Monitor, it lives in your Utilities folder. Under the "Kind" tab it will list the native Intel coded programs and the PowerPC stuff.
