I just received the most recent update of the black macbook....2.4 and 2 gigs ram. My old powerbook was a 1.5 with 2 gigs ram. To test the speed difference i opened photoshop cs2 and then opened a 235 mb file. I timed how long it took to open. 1 min and 57 sec on the powerbook. The new macbook took 56 sec. Then I purchased a 4 gig upgrade from OWC and repeated the test. The time to open the file was a blazing fast 19 secs. Take it for what it is...good. By the way, i was nervous about the whole buying ram from a company and installing by myself...It was easy and owc is great company. Bye

did you get? My bad, I didn't see the BlackBook in the title. What did you do with your old RAM?

Not to mention the fact that Photoshop CS2 runs via Rosetta.

Excuse my ignorance, but what does that mean?
If I had to guess... not the ideal code for OSX? Is CS3 this way too?

rosetta translates programs written for the powerpc into intel code.
