The UK Conservative party have dumped Iain Duncan-Smith in a frenzy of backstabbing and media-led introspection.

He lost a vote of no confidence in closed session before the 1922 committee by quite a margin, and now cannot stand in the election that must follow.

Tony Blair must be thanking whatever gods he believes in for taking the heat off him for a while...:D

I suppose there's always the possibility that the tories may choose a new leader that might actually give Blair a decent challenge. I don't vote Tory but I don't think that Labour winning by default 'cos the alternatives are crap is good for democracy.

Now if the Labour party would just jump on the bandwagon of this leadership "renewal" and get rid of Blair.
