I don't know how but my MBP speaks when I reboot and it tells me to log on and such... how can I make that happen on my iMac.

I have no idea how I did that. Thanks...
 
It is in Universal Access, under speak dialog boxes, or something similar.

I was hoping for specific instructions ... I swear my MBP and iMac are setup up the same. I have been to system prefs and check through Voice and Universal Access... no joy so far.
 
Also check the Speech Preferences, I think there may be something there, or under Accounts.
