J JCT macrumors 6502 Mar 5, 2008 #2 FWIW, when I was ordering RAM Crucial was out of stock, so I went with the OWC Samsung. Both should be fine-- I've had no problems whatsoever with the Samsung I bought and my new MBP runs like a top! JT

L Lyshen macrumors 6502 Mar 5, 2008 #9 I don't know the manufacturer of the actual RAM chips, but the brand that is marketing it is Nanya... same goes for all the previous MBP I exchanged. Personally don't care, since I swapped in 2x 2GB Crucial chips. 😀
