dvd into FCS2

probably an age old question but i have searched for a thread....

can anyone tell me the best programme for exporting old videos i have which i have just transferred to dvd into FCS2, my mate suggested cinematze, but its quite pricey.... is there a cheaper... or free option ? ? ?
