It took quite a few hours to prepare but I made a Roast Herb Rub Chicken with a white wine/honey glaze and stuffed it with a garlic breadcrumb, chorizo and onion stuffing. Served with homemade dark stock gravy, sweet yams, baked potatoes and a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc.

A lot like shrimp or perhaps calamari, with the texture of the latter. I don't blame you if they look a bit intimating but sea snails I can handle. Never mind your average garden snails (escargots) though.

from one of my favorite restaurants, locations in ocean beach, encinitas and palm desert. the food is pretty good, bistro style, some small plates. the key is that they have a retail wine shop in the restaurant. buy a bottle of wine at normal retail price and corkage is only $5 per bottle. super place to munch, drink and relax - 3rd corner bistro.

There's a craze for high quality street food in London at the moment. Independent vendors sell well made food at random locations to hipsters... who are usually kept informed of their location by Twitter.

One semi-permenent location is 'Eat Street (http://www.eat.st/kings-cross/)' - a public walkway just North of the new King's Cross station development. Three days a week they invite stalls down to sell food.

I went down at lunch time, but got there a little late - and a couple of stalls had closed. Difficult to choose between an Italian place, Indian style burgers, Mexican lunchboxes or Korean. I decided that I had a hunger for Kimchi - so I got myself a pulled pork and Kimchi sub. Very good!! :D

Those tacos would be authentic down here, not the usual mexican tacos tho, when i eat carnitas (pork meat fried/cooked in rendered pork fat) i like them with tortillas, guacamole and some radish.

It's also how i prefer to eat my carne asada (steaks) as well, with the horchata might be an el salvadorean or guatemalan place and not entirely mexican.

You wouldn't know they're both vegan.

A bed of bean thread vermicelli tossed with shelled edamame, green onion, cilantro, mint, sesame oil, and a sauce with ginger, garlic, peanut oil, pomegranate molasses, soy sauce, and lime juice.

Then fried tofu with caramelized shallots, garlic, ginger, red pepper, green onion, sweet soy sauce, soy sauce, and coarse black pepper.

I stopped in for lunch and started looking over the menu (over 50 kinds of sandwiches). I have a strange habit of finding the oddest thing I can find and ordering that. So when I saw "The Elvis", I had to give it a shot.

My brother and sister-in-law just opened a restaurant in Wakefield, PQ (The Village House).

For appy I had - fish n' chip: fresh cut shoestring potatoe string fries with in house smoked rainbow trout cakes and garlic scape mayo

for my main - pan seared pickerel in a mushroom broth soup with noodles and veggies

and for dessert - Sally's cocoa crisp (he made the marshmellow and ice cream too - in fact the only thing not made was the nuts, but I think he candied them in house too :)

Skittles in Ice Cream? That sounds really strange. Wouldn't the Skittles get hard? And then on top of being hard to bite into, then awkwardly chewy?

I don't know, I've never heard of Skittles in Ice Cream before.. And it would make sense as to why. But today is a new day, and a new world has just been opened up to me. I wish I could close it. :(

as for the flower, yeah it was just nicely plated cream w/ a nice rose scent and obviously some coloring
