View Full Version : With SDK, can you create a new landscape text messaging app?

I am new to forums so sorry if any of my questions are lackluster. However, my biggest concern is still typing in portrait view, is it at all possible to create apps that will switch texting to landscape mode so we have more space to type?

It could be possible I think if there's a way to access the send text API's.

Awesome, cause thats what i want most. Spaced keys to type. Arghh

Somebody already did this without the SDK, so I am sure it is possible.

hmm, quit possibly. I have a feeling some things will be disabled with the SDK, such as the main things on the iphone. sms, youtube, safari, etc.

Somebody already did this without the SDK, so I am sure it is possible.

Anything is possible w/o the SDK as long as the toolchain can support it. But with the SDK Apple is still going to sandbox some of the functionality so it's up to whether or not apps can touch SMS.
