I will be receiving Sony Mini DVD camcorder for my use. It is apprx. 3 years old. What kind of cord will i need to download the video to my iMac. Would like to purchase so I am ready. Aprreciate anybody's help. Thanks

If the camera has FireWire then that is what you will want if it does not then you will probably need an external tray loading DVD drive to read the mini DVDs.

Depending on the exact model, you may or may not have a compatible camcorder. If it is compatible, you'll need a USB cable and iMovie'08.

Otherwise, you'll need to rip the DVD and convert it to DV or MPEG-4. If you have a slot-loading Mac, you'll need an external DVD drive to read the DVD.
