1.1.5 - 1.1.9 updates to come before 2.0 or...

Move to a major point release when you add enough new functional changes that you increase the highest point in the version.

Enterprise Email in the iPhone is worthy of 2.0 as in the new VPN and security support for WiFi connections.
 
More than likely, there will still be incremental updates to fix security issues or other issues, but not 5+. We may see 1.1.5 or 1.2/1.5, but not much more than that prior to 2.0.

Oddly, the Aspen Simulator is running on firmware version 1.2 (5A147p). It'd be interesting to see if that makes it into the wild.
 
"All these features will be implemented into iPhone with the next software release" ~ Steve Jobs.
I believe they released a 1.1.4 before the event to fix bugs, so they could tell us that the next firmware would be 2.0, and they wanted to release a bug-fixing update before-hand. Repetitive, yes?
 
Haha. Yeah, it is repetitive. I believe that there will be 5 more minor bug-fix updates, (.5-.9) and the 2.0 will be here in June like Jobs said. There won't be any major changes or updates compared to the enterprise 2.0 update in the next 5 updates.
