I love the specs but the color don't do it for me
My wife and I was looking at buying a macbook PRO for months , We finally made A purchased.
With the new updates of the black macbook last week we decided to go with the black macbook Instead of the macbook pro.
Our decission was based on the new upgrades and the color
Am I the only one who feel this way about the color ?
sorry if this is a re-post
didn't see it in the search.

I do would of liked to of been able to order a black MacBook Pro. To me that option should of been available for a while now from Apple since it's not like painting the case black is exactly rocket science. They could even overcharge like usual and make people pay like an extra $300 or $400 for the black version. Personally though after just receiving my MBP a few days ago I'm much more satisfied with the color. Most pictures online really don't do it justice. Definitely make sure you've seen one in person before deciding.

If you don't need a dedicated video card, screen size, or FireWire 800 the MacBook is good option.
I love my white Macbook but black is good lookn' too. :D

An alternative would have been to buy the MBP and a Speck case in the color you wanted....

Don't forget only the MBP has a LED-backlit display and also better build quality with the brushed aluminum vs the plastic on the MacBook.

the led screen is the win. I have to say i'm slightly shocked that the color is more important than screen size... The 13 inch screens drive me nuts.

The colour? Why would anyone want a pro laptop to be black plastic? I was just talking about this today with my partner and we both agreed there is no other laptop around that looks as sleek and stylish as a MBP. Whenever I open mine in front of a windows user they always gasp in excitement such is the look of it.

I agree. I think the mbp color actually exudes truth in advertising. The macbooks are plastic and look fun, while the mbps have an industrial new-age look that screams of a professional machine.

Its all about personal preference indeed. I bought the MBP primarily because of the color and the fact that the screen was a bit larger, while still making the unit portable.
The Macbook is a great machine too, I came close to getting the black one.
