I Can't Unplug My Mouse!

New style thin-keyboard, mighty mouse.

I can't physically unplug the mouse. The
connector doesn't seem to want to work
free. Any hints?

Any advice that doesn't involve breaking the keyboard would be nice.

I've applied serious pulling force. Any more would be risky.

Can you provide us a picture of said port? Might give us some ideas...
In my experience, USB ports shouldn't be very hard to remove USB devices from. There's nothing actually holding onto the plug, just metal/plastic contact. One possible method of removal if the port/plug have expanded is to cool them or heat them to get it to relax a little. I'm not talking a blowtorch---maybe an icecube inside of a sandwich bag or something similar.

It really should be pretty simple to remove it---wiggle it a little!

I've now managed to free the mouse by wiggling, but looking at that
socket, I can't see why the mouse's USB connector was so difficult
to remove. Something must be catching.

The new thin keyboards are lovely, btw. They have that intoxicating
post-it note smell! :)

Don't put the mouse USB in upside down perhaps? Isn't it obvious that something is broken? Aside from telling you to pull harder, what in the world do you expect someone to tell you? I'm really not trying to be harsh, but very very very few people here have experience with whatever it is is going wrong with your keyboard.
